Extension of Diesel Power Station and Distribution Networks for Wau City in Southern Sudan

- The contract has been signed between EEHC (Egyptian Electricity Holding Co.), Eps and ( EMC – HYDELCO )on 3/9/2006.
- Project Duration : 12 months


Project description:
Egyptian Government will implement these projects to install an extension for Wau Diesel Power Station.
The Existing Power station consist of 2x800 kw diesel generator sets
The extension will comprise construction of 2 diesel generator sets each of 1000 kw capacity and their auxiliaries, extension of 11 kv switch gear to accommodate new units and outgoing feeders, increasing capacity of the fuel storage system and construction of some premises.

Job description:
EPS will be responsible for engineering, procurements and construction management of the project to be executed in Southern Sudan under the governmental grant
Prepare and finalize the tender documents & make tender evaluation then contract award.
Review contractor’s detailed progress schedule to secure the timely completion of work
Prepare budget requirements for different stages of the project.

Installing Diesel Power Stations in Yambio, Rumbek, & Bor

- The contract has been signed between EEHC (Egyptian Electricity Holding Co.), Eps and (SABINA & WARTSILA) on 28/6/2007 .
- Project Duration : 12 months

Project description:
Egyptian Gov. allocated a grant equivalent to 30 million US dollar for the electrification of the three state capitals by implementing three medium speed Diesel Power Stations 2x1 MW each in turn key basis.

ABU QUIR-KAFR ELZAYAT- BASSOS DOUBLE CIRCUIT 500kV OHTL

Call for Expression of Interest

     The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC), through its affiliate company, EGYPTIAN Electricity Transmission Company (EETC), is inviting International Contractors to express their interest in submitting Bids for the above package.

     The scope of work for the double circuit 500kV OHTL package includes, but is not limited to, design, fabrication, furnishing, delivery, installation, training, testing, start-up and commissioning for 500kV about 97 km double circuit line from Abu Quir Power Station to Kafr El-Zayat Substation, and about 95 km double circuit line from Kafr El-Zayat SS to Bassos SS (near Cairo) including but not limited to the following major items; Concrete foundations in all type of lands, Double circuit steel lattice towers, in addition to a number of tubular steel poles for areas with difficult right of way, ACSR, and AAAC for phase conductors, OPGW for ground wire and optical communications including splicing boxes and approach cables and panels.

     It is planned to issue the tender document for the subject Bid on December 2007, have the Contract signed with successful bidder by June 2008, in order to complete the project maximum by June 2010.

     Before the issuance of this package for bid, EEHC and EETC will provide International financing Agency for the Foreign Currency portion of this bid.  Furthermore, only international Contractors will be allowed to bid on this package, either as a sole Tenderer or as part of the Consortium.

     The interested Contractors are required to send Expression of Interest in bidding in this project including financial status, list of their past and ongoing experience for 400kV and above double circuit transmission lines. Interested Contractors should transmit their letters within two weeks of the publication of this notice:
