The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) has secured financing to cover the cost of Toshky (II) / Owinat East 220 k.v Double Circuit O.H.T.L total length(340km) , and it intends to apply part of the proceeds to payment under the contract for design , manufacture , supply , tests , transportation for long rod composite Silicon Rubber Insulator Set complete with all fittings , the contract will be based on International Competitive Bidding mechanism .
The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) , A wholly owned subsidiary of the Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) shall request bids from qualified bidder for design , manufacture , supply , tests transportation for long rod composite Silicon Rubber Insulator Set complete with all fittings will be announced on the Egyptian news paper and EPS site in October 2009.
Prequalification Evaluation Criteria :
Evaluation of Manufacturer's satisfactory past experience shall be based on having past and ongoing experience in manufacturing Polymer Insulators for 10 ( ten ) years , and has supplied 3 ( three ) similar projects of Silicon Rubber Insulator for 220 kv or higher OHTL , at least one of them is located outside the Manufacturer's Source of origin with successful operation record for at least 5 ( five ) years , the following supporting document shall be required :

e. Start / completion
f. Evidence from the customer indicating satisfaction of Silicon Rubber performance.
