   Job Summary:

   The Health, Safety & Environment Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring all health, safety and environment risks and hazards at Al Toukhi’s
   construction projects, as well as advising workers and employees on health, safety and environment practices to ensure harm is reduced/prevented to Al Toukhi’s
   and clients workers and property.

 
   I. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
 
  • Develops the Health, Safety & Environment function’s strategic goals, polices, business plans, budgets and resources in coordination with the Director of QA/QC/HSE & Post Construction Review.

  • Develops Al Toukhi’s health, safety and environment framework, policies and processes, HSE management system, to meet regulatory requirements such as: provision of emergency healthcare, first aid clinics, safety and health information, and workplace safety.

  • Researches applicable occupational health, safety and environmental standards and all relevant laws, and communicates to Al Toukhi’s departments for further consideration and implementation, as applicable.

  • Evaluates the degree of implementation of HSE management system and HSE plans, and provides timely feedback on findings and improvement requirements.

  • Ensures effective investigation analysis and reporting of all HSE incidents. Ensures key findings are communicated to project management and assists in the implementation of measures and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Introduces and maintain HSE initiatives and controls throughout the projects, and provides expert advice on the HSE requirements being set into various contracts.

  • Conducts awareness sessions to maximize awareness on health, safety and environment activities across Al Toukhi’s projects and property.

  • Conducts performance evaluation processes for the Health, Safety & Environment function’s employees to cover objective settings, progress performance meetings and performance appraisals.

 

  II. Education and Experience
 
  • 8-10 years of experience in the field of project health, safety and environment. (Power Generation / Transmission Projects is preferable)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Engineering).

  • Masters in a relevant field (Engineering \ MBA), preferred.

  • Professional certification in HSE.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic - Spoken and Written.
